Card Description
The soldier's back was turned to Jaxon, leaving him with the perfect opportunity.
Uttering a silent prayer to his gods, Jaxon leapt onto the man's back. He was exhausted, but this was his chance to make Crenus' army pay for the crimes against his home and family.
As he bore his opponent down to the ground, a tremendous heat flowed up his arms. A strange glow surrounded the pair and Jaxon could feel strength returning to his body. The soldier gave out a strangled cry beneath Jaxon, his scream quickly fading away.
As Jaxon picked himself up from the mud, he gazed down at his fallen enemy and was horrified by what he saw. The soldier was little more than a desiccated corpse, while Jaxon noticed his body had swollen with new muscle.
The rebel picked up the soldier's sword and spun it in his hand, testing its weight while he moved away.
Just to be safe, he murmured another prayer to the gods. This time, though, he thanked them for showering him with fortune.
